“Quebecers have been very lucky with Lotto 6/49 since the beginning of 2025! The Classic Jackpot has been won five times in Quebec, not counting the eight one-million-dollar prizes that have also been won here with the same lottery game,” said Isabelle Jean, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Lottery Games at Loto-Québec.

Highlights
- Shirley Haun has a long-standing agreement with her younger sister, Barb, who lives in British Columbia. If one of them wins the jackpot, she shares it equally with the other.
- After discovering her win early the day after the draw, Shirley immediately tried to reach her sister, who was still asleep because of the time difference. She then sent her text messages, hoping that the sound of her cell phone would eventually wake her! When she finally talked to her sister, Barb couldn’t believe it!
- In addition to sharing the jackpot with her sister, Shirley plans to spoil other loved ones and make donations to causes that are dear to her, especially those related to animals.
Lady Luck smiles at Estrie!
